Ashanti Shequoiya, also known by the name Ashanti is an extremely well-known American actress and singer. She is a singer songwriter and actress from her native United States. Ashanti was first discovered when she was a teenager and eventually became signed to Murder Inc. Records in 2002. That same year, she also included on the Fat Joe's What's Luv? The singer also featured in Fat Joe's track"What's Luv!" as well as the Ja Rules track Always In Time, both of which have been hugely successful. It was the first time for a female artist to hold top two spots in the Billboard Hot 100 list in the United States with Foolish at first place and Luv? at number two. Luv? Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas, better known as Ashanti, was born on the 13th of October on the 13th of October at Glen Cove New York. Tina Douglas is the mother of Ashanti and Ken Kaide Douglas is father. Kenashia Shia is her youngest sibling. Douglas named Ashanti Shia Douglas in honor of the Ashanti Empire from Ghana, where women were influential and powerful. Douglas wanted Ashantis to follow this example. But she did play throughout New York and began hanging around at the Murder Inc. recording studio in hopes of a big break. Ashanti appeared originally on the track by Big Pun called"How We Roll, as a back vocalist. She also appeared on Fat Joe's What's Luv? Ja Rule's "Always on Time" and Fat Joe's What's Luv! In her debut song Foolish the song by DeBarge's Me that was recorded in 1983 is sung. The first album of her own, released on The album by Irv's Murder Inc. in 2002 was Ashanti. The Declaration is Ashanti's forth studio album. The release was made by Murder Inc. on June 3, 2008. Hey Baby, After the Club (released on radio as well as digital formats) dropped on the 16th of October, 2008. The singer played Latasha on Army Wives and starred in the movie Christmas in the City. Aitch was a sampler of Rock wit U in his Baby on the 10th of March 2022.
